Victorian Style "School Marm"
I've been doing some research lately...inspiration for an upcoming shoot. The theme is a vintage country school girl look. During my hunt for ideas, I found these fabulous Victorian inspired dresses by Rodarte. While this particular look is not right for my current shoot, I think the outfits are very interesting none the less. I love the collars and the details. While Victorian "school marm" is not exactly a streetwear option for most women, the look would be great for a fashion editorial. What do you think?

Hippie Style Accessories
Some of the most popular posts on my blog are the hippie inspiration photos. So I'm always on the lookout for anything boho style. On the historic town square of Collierville, Tennessee is a charming florist and gift shop called C.J. Lilly and Company. There I found the cutest "hippie" accessories among all their other lovely items. Here are a few of my favorites for rockin' the 60's look.
You can visit C.J. Lilly and Company at 128 Mulburry Street, Collierville, TN or at www.cjlillyflowers.com

Consignment Shopping
I post quite often about thrift shopping, but consignment shopping is another method to find some fabulous items at a huge discount. Also, putting your gently worn clothes and accessories on consignment is an excellent way to recycle and make some extra money at the same time. Third Generation Consignment is just off the historic town square (198 S. Center Street) in Collierville, Tennessee. Here are a few of my favorite fashion items from a recent excursion to the town's new consignment shop.
Check out Third Generation Consignment on Facebook at:
In addition to clothing and accessories for the entire family, Third Generation Consignment also carries an array of other items including furniture, antiques, art, handcrafted items, and collectables.

Stylish Plus Size Fashion...Fabulous!
I found these fabulous plus size looks at www.OneStopPlus.com. They are an online fashion mall for sized 12W to 44W. The Collection by OSP was the first plus size fashion show that debuted during NY fashion week. I love the looks! They are trendy, yet classy...stylish, but not trampy.

1940's Inspired Dresses from Shabby Apple
My past few posts have been all about gorgeous 1940's inspired dresses. OK, I'm obsessed. I was pleasantly surprised recently to find that Sarah Brasher of Edelweiss (see my post from May 6) designed Shabby Apple's "Up and Away" line. These beautifully styled photos from their website are my favorite dresses from that line. Almost all of the dresses from the "Up and Away" line are currently on sale for around $100. To check them out, simply click the Shabby Apple affiliate button on my side bar. Browse their other vintage inspired lines and boutique collections. Sarah Brasher also designed many of the dresses for their "Silk Road" line.
While all these dresses look great styled for the 40's, they are extremely versatile for many looks and occasions.

These 1940's inspired photos from an editorial in Vogue reminded me of some gorgeous gowns I had recently seen from the Pre-Fall 2011 Collection from Carolina Herrera.
