People Magazine: Half Their Size

A few months ago I had the privilege of working on a photo shoot for People Magazine entitled "Half Their Size."  The magazine came out today!  One of the people who had lost half their body weight was Josh Troy, a sports reporter.  My job was to dress him for his big makeover.  Below is the photo from the article including his "before" picture.  What an inspiration he is to all of us!  Doesn't he look great!!!  Way to go Josh!

Can Redheads Wear Red?

A golden blonde friend of mine recently became a stunning redhead.  She asked me the age old question, "Can redheads wear red?"  My answer was, "It all depends on the shade of red...of the hair and the clothes.  Here is a perfect example of a redhead who is wearing the right color red for her hair.

Auburn, strawberry blonde, orange red, copper, and carrot top redheads should wear tomato red, poppy, brick red, or rust...reds with a bit of orange.  Corals are also good.

If your red hair is mahogany red, burgandy, or red-violet, then you should wear reds such as wine, cranberry, plum, maroon, ruby, fuchsia, raspberry, and burgandy...reds with a touch of blue.

So the answer is...YES...redheads can wear red!!!

A friend of mine gave me this fabulous vintage 2-piece sweater dress from the 70's.  I could hardly wait to use it in a shoot.  I love the bold burnt orange stripes, bell sleeves, double wrap belt and the longer length skirt...so 1970's!
