Maxi Dress - 60's and 70's Style

A popluar style that took front stage in the late 60's and 70's was the maxi dress.  I recently posted about the Gunne Sax "prairie look" that was so widespread.  But the maxi came in a variety of styles and fabrics.  There was something for everyone...long sleeve, halter, sleeveless, solid color, bold print, drapey polyester, homespun cotton, etc.  Below are some more examples of vintage maxi's.  All of them are for sale on   The first few photos are from a shoot I styled last year using a beautiful 70's maxi.   Photographer-Stephanie Moore, Hair and Makeup-Leslie Milne, Styling-Lisa Byrd Thomas, Model-Hannah of Elzemeyer Talent Agency
