Hippie Style Boho Wedding Dresses

While looking on etsy.com for a vintage wedding dress for a friend of mine, I found these beautiful dresses that are perfect for a hippie style boho wedding.  Most of them are Victorian/Edwardian revival from the 1970's with a few "prairie" looks thrown in.  If you want a little more coverage in some lacy areas, they can be easily lined.

Gunne Sax for Great Hippie and Boho Inspiration

Gunne Sax, the clothing label founded in the 1960's and bought by Jessica McClintock in 1969, is often associated with the 1970's fashion trend known as "prairie-revival."  This popular 70's style incorporated pinafores, gingham and calico which was reminiscent of early American pioneer fashions.  Today these beautiful, feminine dresses, blouses, and skirts translate into great hippie and boho inspiration.   Below is a photo I styled several years ago using a Gunne Sax dress.  Following are some Gunne Sax and similar items on sale at etsy.com.

Another popular style that Gunne Sax revived was a medieval "renaissance" look.

Hippie Style Accessories

Some of the most popular posts on my blog are the hippie inspiration photos.  So I'm always on the lookout for anything boho style.  On the historic town square of Collierville, Tennessee is a charming florist and gift shop called C.J. Lilly and Company.  There I found the cutest "hippie" accessories among all their other lovely items.  Here are a few of my favorites for rockin' the 60's look.

You can visit C.J. Lilly and Company at 128 Mulburry Street, Collierville, TN or at  www.cjlillyflowers.com
