60's Fashion on Vegas, new CBS TV Series

60's fashion is alive and well on the new CBS tv series "Vegas."  The costume designer for the series, Kathleen Detoro, does a magnificent job with the wardrobe.  I am excited to say that she has purchased a variety of 60's items from my online vintage clothing boutique, Hip Fashion Stylist Vintage.  Below are photos of one of my purses used in the episode "From This Day Forward" and some screencaps. (Sorry the images aren't better.  The purse was definitely not the focus of the episode.)  I'll post some of my favorite outfits from the series soon.

School Girl Fashion (Part 2) - Mod 60's Hat

Here's Part 2 of the "School Girl" style fashion shoot.  I especially like the mod 60's hat I used with one of the outfits.  The hat was my inspiration for the look of the entire shoot.

More Fashion in Film - 60's and 70's

Here are a few more fashion moments in film from the 60's and 70's.  This post is about the clothes...not the movie content!

Breakfast at Tiffany's
1961
Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard

The dress pictured below is what most people have in mind when they think of this movie.

Bonnie and Clyde
1967
Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty

While this movie is set in the 1930's, Faye Dunaway's wardrobe would fit right in the 1970's.  I love this outfit!

Klute
1971
Jane Fonda and Donald Sutherland

Annie Hall
1977
Diane Keaton and Woody Allen

Menswear look...it's just as popular now.

It's All in the Details - 60's style

The key to a great look is all in the details as you can see in the photos below from the 60's style shoot I recently worked on.  Accessories add texture, color, and interest.  Note: These photos have been cropped (by me) from original photos by Lindsey Lissau.  For the actual photos, please check my previous 3 posts.
