70's Style - High Waisted Pants, Jeans, and more

These great 70's style fashions from the Emilio Pucci Resort 2011 line are fabulous inspiration!  And these high waisted flared pants are my favorite 70's look. They are so Charlie's Angels!

And let's not forget the great maxi dresses of that era like this fabulous hippie number.  Love the design!  (But you might want to add a cami.)

Maxi Dress - 60's and 70's Style

A popluar style that took front stage in the late 60's and 70's was the maxi dress.  I recently posted about the Gunne Sax "prairie look" that was so widespread.  But the maxi came in a variety of styles and fabrics.  There was something for everyone...long sleeve, halter, sleeveless, solid color, bold print, drapey polyester, homespun cotton, etc.  Below are some more examples of vintage maxi's.  All of them are for sale on etsy.com.   The first few photos are from a shoot I styled last year using a beautiful 70's maxi.   Photographer-Stephanie Moore, Hair and Makeup-Leslie Milne, Styling-Lisa Byrd Thomas, Model-Hannah of Elzemeyer Talent Agency

A friend of mine gave me this fabulous vintage 2-piece sweater dress from the 70's.  I could hardly wait to use it in a shoot.  I love the bold burnt orange stripes, bell sleeves, double wrap belt and the longer length skirt...so 1970's!
