I recently ran across these wonderful photos of Audrey Hepburn shot by Bud Fraker in 1954 during the filming of Sabrina. Her red poodle top is so iconic 1950's style. This year we saw the return of novelty/animal sweaters to the runway...that's the cycle of fashion.

More Fashion in Film - 60's and 70's
Here are a few more fashion moments in film from the 60's and 70's. This post is about the clothes...not the movie content!
Breakfast at Tiffany's
1961
Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard
The dress pictured below is what most people have in mind when they think of this movie.
Bonnie and Clyde
1967
Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty
While this movie is set in the 1930's, Faye Dunaway's wardrobe would fit right in the 1970's. I love this outfit!
Klute
1971
Jane Fonda and Donald Sutherland
Annie Hall
1977
Diane Keaton and Woody Allen
Menswear look...it's just as popular now.

50's Fashion in Film
50's fashion in film is my focus for this week. I'm doing some research for a film expo fashion show I'm styling in September. Some of the films I will mention here and in later posts I have not seen, but the clothes are iconic for the period. Please comment with some of your favorite movies for fashion from the 50's.
Roman Holiday
1953
Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck
Rear Window
1954
Grace Kelly and Jimmy Stewart
Sabrina
1954
Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart

Simply Glamorous
This outfit proves that dressing glamorous doesn't have to be complicated. For this shoot, I chose a fabulous navy blue sequined top, skinny black pants, and black flats...very Audrey Hepburn. No need for accessories!
