40's Fashion...Now That's Glamour!

I have this great love for 40's fashion.  It was elegant, feminine, and flattering.  They didn't have to show off all their body parts to get noticed.  Now that's glamour!  Here are a few of my favorite looks from the movie, The Philadelphia Story (1940) with Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant, and James Stewart.

Clifford Coffin (1913-1972) was another of the great fashion photographers of the 1940's and 1950's.  His work with such magazines as Vogue and Glamour has left quite a legacy for us to enjoy today.  Take a look!
