50's Fashion Photographer - Walde Huth

Continuing my current obsession with 50's and 60' fashion photographers...Walde Huth, born in Germany in the early 1920's, was known for including architecture as a backdrop for the glamorous fashions of the day.  Here is some of her inspiring work.

I really love these 50's fashion photos from the renowned photographer of haute couture, Henry Clarke (1918-1996).  In the 1950's and 1960's he worked for American, French and British Vogue Magazine.

Late 1950's and Early 1960's Fashion Inspiration Photos

Lately, I've been watching a lot of old TV shows.  One of my favorites is The Dick Van Dyke Show.  It first aired in 1961.  I love Mary Tyler Moore's clothes!  So chic!!  It has renewed my interest in late 1950's and early 1960's fashion...great feminine shirtwaist, sheath and two-piece dresses, fitted sweaters with full skirts, and chunky sweaters with cigarette-style pants and flats.

Photo Shoot: Early 60's Ladylike Dress

Here's another photo from my recent Spring fashion shoot.  I absolutely love this dress from Shabby Apple!  The fitted bodice and full skirt are so reminiscent of the ladylike dresses from the late 1950's and early 1960's.  The bright pink and orange print definitely add pizzaz to any Spring wardrobe.  Accessories include pearl and gold earrings, a vintage rhinestone and pearl brooch, and a gold and lilac vintage rhinestone bracelet.
